Blue tits

Around the time of May-June 2004 in a bird box I'd made, a couple of blue tits made a nest. They ended up having chicks and now they have left the box. More on that later.
Blue tits are very clever and very outgoing, I can get as close as around 11/2 foot away from 'blue', as I named her - the female blue tit, and that's only because she doesn't fly lower than on top of the seven foot fence which the box is hung on!
This is a really good photo I took of it just about to take off:

It wasn't until about 2 weeks that I realised they had had babies, they were going in and out of the box constantly and also sometimes I would see a little blue tit poke it's head out of the box. I knew it was a baby because notice the difference how the adult (above) has white cheeks where as the baby (below) has yellow cheeks. You can also tell a male from a female because the female has a brighter shade of colour than the male.
