Robson Green stars in this powerful one-hour film for BBC Daytime about love struggling for survival in a climate of fear and violence. Beaten, made by Robson's own production company, will focus on the issue of domestic violence in the home of Michael, a Newcastle docker. Haunted by a tormented past and childhood betrayal, when violence erupts in his home the whole family fights to stop their world from crumbling.
Michael goes on the run with Jamie, his young son, and his wife, Stephanie, finds her own painful childhood history repeating itself. The family are reunited in an emotional conflagration that reveals both the power of a child's love and the clarity of his vision.

The film Beaten, In which I play
the part of Jamie, was broadcast in the UK, Monday 14 March (2005) on bbc1 at
14:05 In the afternoon. I went to a press release/screening with Robson,
Saira, and the rest of the actors and crew on 7th March of which was absolutely
thrilling, and yes, I did cry, but that's not to say that Robson didn't!!! it is
a really great film, everything clicks together like a jigsaw puzzle. the music
is great, the editing is great, the script is great, EVERYTHING IS GREAT!! I
will try to get a few clips on the web soon.
